Expose your little ones to the wonderful world of learning as they play with peers and interact with warm and nurturing teachers. Allow your tots to discover their ABC's and 123's through play, dance, song and sheer fun with a session of Head Start Toddlers' Playgroup Class at Habits of the Mind Enrichment and Tutorial Center.

Head Start Program Schedule of Activities:

10:00 AM	Play Planning and Free Play – Employing the Tools of the Mind approach, the children develop their plan of play and are made free to choose the kind of play they like from a variety of age-appropriate materials and books in the classroom.
10:15 AM	Circle Time – Listening skills, self-expression, and socialization are a few of the aptitudes developed during this part of the day.
10:30 AM	Work Period – a variety of multisensory activities are introduced and carried out in the classroom. Themes – from 'All About Me' to 'Transportation' to 'Fruits and Vegetables', kids will discover the world around them through play, art, and other table-top activities. Letters and Phonics – different activities are used to launch the child into the wonderful world of letters and the alphabet Counting, Colors and Shapes – through play, children are able to learn these fundamentals Fine Motor Skills – clay sculpting, lacing, painting are used to prepare your children for the development of their handwriting skills
11:10 AM	Snack Time
11:30 NN	Reading Time – activities such as buddy reading & story-telling from our collection of age-appropriate literature develops your child's ability to listen and express thoughts. Extended activities are prepared to enrich the topic/s.
11:45 PM	Music and Movement / Outdoor Play – whether inside or outside the classroom, our active toddlers will learn about sharing and taking turns, and even following directions, through structured and free play.
12:00 NN	Goodbye
